Phillies Hot Offense Too Much For Rockies
2008 May 27

For the second straight game, the Phillies offense provided more than enough run support to get a victory. Chase Utley — 3-for-6 with a career-high 6 RBI — led a balanced offensive attack that saw the Fightins pound out 19 hits and score 20 runs. Jaime Moyer worked trough some early inning trouble to notch his fifth victory of the season — he lasted seven innings, allowing four runs on six hits, while striking out seven.
It was nice to see the Phillies offense keep Moyer in the game. They were able to hang around early — answering the Rockies three-run first with one of their own — which allowed Moyer to work more comfortably.
